Attending a new church can be a daunting experience. There are a lot of questions flying through your mind. What will the service be like? Where do I take my kids? How do the people dress? Does the preacher yell at you? Are you going to embarrass me during the worship service? When are your services, anyway?

Well, let us set your mind at ease. Here are some frequently asked questions that might help take a little of the apprehension out of visiting Fellowship for the first time.

What’s Fellowship Worship Like?

Some might call our services contemporary. We like to think of ourselves as “relatable.” The music will probably remind you of the music you hear on the radio. Our services are really upbeat and positive. Worship Pastor, Donny Parrish, along with the Fellowship Band and Praise Team, provide a great atmosphere for you to connect with God through worship.  We use a lot of video, drama and other creative methods to communicate God’s Word. You’ll hear messages from Pastor Rick that are life-practical, yet uncompromising, in declaring the truth of God’s Word.

When are your services?

Fellowship offers three services each week, two on Sunday morning and one on Wednesday night. The services on Sunday begin at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. The Wednesday night service is at 7:00 pm. Each service is identical, so come when it’s most convenient for you and your family. We have Bible Studies for children, junior-high and high school students both Sundays and Wednesdays. Adult Bible Study, “Life University,” is offered at both hours on Sunday morning.

How do people dress on Sunday?

There’s really no “dress code” for Sunday’s at Fellowship. Most people dress casual, but nice. Jeans are fine. We do believe that church is a special place, so we don’t encourage people to come like it’s a day at the beach. At the same time, we realize that God is more interested in the condition of your heart than your fashion style. On Wednesday nights we realize a lot of people are coming in right from work. No problem. Wear your work clothes.

Where do I park?

We’ve reserved a special parking area just for our guests. It’s just to your left once you enter our campus off of Pinson Road. Just watch the signs.

How will I find my way around? And what about my kids?

When you enter the building, a member of Fellowship’s Welcome Team will greet you. (They’re easy to spot. They’re the ones with the name-tags). Welcome Team Members have one mission… to help you find your way around our buildings. Just ask for help and they will take you and your children to our LifeQuest Center, a first-class facility built with kids and parents in mind! All classes are video monitored. Each KidzTime teacher is committed to making your child’s experience educational and fun! Plus, our entire KidzTime staff submits to background checks, just so you’ll be comfortable as a parent (Your children are going to love KidzTime!).

Are you guys going to embarrass us during the worship service?

Absolutely not! In fact, because Forney is a city of immigrants, (very few of us were born here... we all moved here from somewhere else) you’ll fit right in. We’ll treat you like family. No one is going to single you out.
