Kidz Time (Sunday Mornings)
Presentation Leader
Responsibilities: Lead creative Bible story presentation and preparation necessary, using various methods (i.e. drama, puppets, story books, movies)
Responsible for communicating with same hour interaction and application leaders how lesson can be presented to provide a deeper and more profound understanding of the Bible lesson. Responsible for also providing and furnishing a classroom environment to inspire students to better connect with the lesson. All leaders need to be in their classroom 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Interaction Leader
Responsibilities: Lead children in interactive activities , such as games, puzzles, competitive bible drills, memory verses, challenge courses. Activities used to stress bible focus points and to challenge students to a higher level of Christian growth. All leaders need to be in their classroom 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Application Leaders
Responsibilities: Lead children in preparation of creative hands-on activities (object lessons, crafts, science experiments, cooking or other tactile activities) that help the children understand the practical application of the Bible lesson to their lives. Preparation of materials necessary prior to the lesson date. Note-all school supplies are available through the church. Approval of purchase for special items is necessary. Receipts are required for any expense reimbursements. All leaders need to be in their classroom 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Crew Leaders in 9am KidzTime:
Responsibilities: Frontline- These are the ones who build the relationships by meeting and greeting the children, and accompanying children as they rotate through classes. Contact children via mail (i.e. birthday cards, miss you cards, congratulations) Responsible for reinforcing the Bible lesson and focus points. All leaders need to be in their classroom 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Crew Leaders in 10:30am KidzTime:
Responsibilities: Frontline - These are the ones who build the relationships by meeting and greeting the children, contacting children when absent, sending birthday cards, etc. 10:30 Crew Leaders guide the children in Bible Skills and Drills and accompany them to Praise/Worship and Storytime. All leaders need to be in their classroom 15 minutes prior to the start of service
Praise & Worship Leaders:
Responsibilities: Lead the children in upbeat, kid-friendly music with motions, as well as teaching slower worship songs to start developing an attitude of awe for our Lord. This leader will work with the media minister for set-up of sound, projection, etc. The church presently has a good DVD library of music and will continue to add to the collection.
Team Leaders:
Responsibilities: There will a team leader for each service (9:00 and 10:30). The Team Leader will support all of the above leaders. This leader will check with each leader for supply needs, lending an extra hand, and through words of encouragement. This leader will check the classrooms for his/her designated hour and confirm the teacher is in place. Team leaders should be in place 30 minutes prior to the start of service.
CheckPoint Staff:
Responsibilities: This will be the first face seen by parents, children, volunteers, and visitors on Sunday mornings. These leaders needs to provide a smile and a welcome as they check-in volunteers and children by computer (ACS program) and give security labels. Must be in place 30 minutes prior to service times.
Door Greeter / Security Monitor:
Responsibilities: A person is needed to stand at the door into the children’s facility and check for security badges prior to allowing entrance into the secured area. People needed at the end of each service. Must be able to strong-willed enough to uphold the entrance policy and sweet enough to do it with a smile!
Snack Coordinator:
Responsibilities: Keeps an adequate stock of snacks and paper products for the preschool classes. Turns in PO’s to the Children’s Minister for purchase.
Decorators:
Responsibilities: Keep rooms decorated as needed for Bible lessons, or suitable for the season. Consult with other leaders for ideas that would suit lessons. Must be extremely creative!
