Rick has been the pastor of Fellowship since December 1977. There were twelve people in attendance on their first Sunday, seven of which were active members. Rick graduated from Criswell College in Dallas with a B.A. in Biblical Studies in May 1987. He is the author of the book, The Race: From Pit Row to Victory Lane.
Rick and Ann grew up in the same church and married at Friendship Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas on November 19, 1976. They have three grown children: Tamara and husband Jim Davis of Forney; Jared and wife Amy Lemons of Forney; and Olivia Lemons of Forney. They have six grandchildren: Isabella, Jenna, Hendrix, Halianna, Joelle, and Israel.
Rick’s responsibilities at Fellowship include teaching, administration, and casting vision. He enjoys playing golf, softball, and spending quality time with his wife and family. His love for the people of Fellowship is evident, and his passion is for Fellowship to be a church that helps people do what God is calling them to do.
Executive Pastor of Worship and Family Ministries
Jared joined the Fellowship Staff in 2006 but grew up at Fellowship. His responsibilities include directing and vision-casting for all worship, student, and family ministries. Jared holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies and an M.A. in Christian Leadership from the Criswell College. Jared and his wife, Amy, have a daughter, Joelle, and a son, Israel. He enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, playing golf, and spending time with other families of Fellowship Forney.
Kent joined the Fellowship staff in 2009. He graduated from The University of Central Arkansas, studying music and public relations. Kent loves serving the Lord and his church family by encouraging others to worship God with their lives and music. Kent and his wife, Sarah, have two daughters, Avalyn and Vivian.
Grace Smith joined the Fellowship staff in 2006. Grace has three adult daughters, a son-in-law, and her first grandson!
Grace says “Next to my family, the children’s ministry is closest to my heart. I have the opportunity to mold the next generation to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. I get to have a lot of fun doing that, too!”
Nate joined the Fellowship staff in 2017. He has lived in California, Ohio, Michigan and now he's found a home in the great state of Texas. He holds a B.S. in Nursing (is really good with band-aids) from Cedarville University and a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Clarks Summit University. Nate has worked in camp ministry and elementary ministry. His combination of energy and fun with deep theological teaching is helping transition Fellowship Student Ministry into an incredible place for our 5th-12th grade students! Nate enjoys reading C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, drinking La Croix sparkling water, and watching the Cleveland Browns. Nate's 6'5" stature and his Yorkie dog named Sassy are a sight to behold!
Director of Operations & Outreach
Shaun joined the Fellowship staff in 2005. He has a background in business and technology, having worked as a business manager and IT consultant. Shaun attended Jacksonville College as a music major. He loves music and enjoys hiking, canoeing, camping, and 4-wheeling. Shaun and his wife, Jamie, were married in 1999.
Patrick joined the Fellowship staff in June of 2017. He graduated from Cedarville College in Cedarville, OH. Patrick's main focus at Fellowship is in the area of media ministry and production. He and his team help set the stage for worship each week by using their talents to enhance our worship experience.
Rita joined the Fellowship staff in 2006. She handles the scheduling of events and resources, all church communications, and helps people connect with the ministries of the church. Rita loves spending time with family and enjoys hiking, snorkeling, reading mysteries, and watching old movies. She and her husband, Phil, love spending time with their children and grandchildren. They’ve been members at Fellowship since 1987.
Accountant/Women’s Events Coordinator
Gayleen joined the Fellowship staff in 2008. She serves as Church Accountant and coordinator of Women's Events. She has a degree in Accounting from Amber University. Gayleen is more comfortable in a "behind-the-scenes" position, which carries over in her involvement in planning Fellowship Women's Events. Although her administrative skills are essential to these events, you will very seldom see her on stage! Gayleen has two daughters, Susan and Ginger, and a grandson, Will, who keeps her laughing!
Lauren joined the staff in 2017. She and her husband Cole have two children, Colbie and Jase. Lauren is a paramedic with a B.S. in Emergency Health Sciences and has a passion for child safety. She believes the nursery should be a safe and loving environment where parents can feel confident leaving their children while they fellowship and worship the Lord together.
