Winning the Battle for Your Heart
In this week’s sermon, Pastor Jared concluded the “Unexpected” series by exploring Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness. Drawing from Matthew 4, he explained how Jesus faced and overcame temptation through three key encounters with Satan. Pastor Jared emphasized that while everyone faces temptation, there’s a difference between being tempted and giving in to sin.
He shared four practical strategies for overcoming temptation: identifying areas of weakness, maintaining an active prayer life, surrounding ourselves with strong Christian community, and filling our lives with God’s Word. The message reminded us that through Christ, we have the power to overcome our struggles and live more faithfully.
