To Hate or Not to Hate
In this week’s sermon, Pastor Rick continued the series on the Sermon on the Mount, focusing on Matthew 5:21-26 where Jesus explains that the law goes deeper than external actions. Pastor highlighted how Jesus takes the commandment against murder further, teaching that anger, insults, and refusing to reconcile with others are equally serious in God’s eyes. He emphasized that our relationships with others directly impact our relationship with God, citing 1 John 3 which states that loving others is evidence of spiritual life. Pastor Rick reminded the congregation about the blessing of having access to Scripture and the importance of examining what we’re taught against God’s Word.
