1. There are six prophesies in Zechariah concerning the Messiah. What does it do for your faith to know that Jesus fulfilled each of them?

2. Compare Zechariah 9:9 with Matthew 21:4-5.

3. Compare Zechariah 11:12-13 with Matthew 27:9-10.

4. In Zechariah 1:7-13 the prophet sees a man on a red horse and military men on patrol. How comforting is it to you to know that God is watching all the time?

5. Read Zechariah 1:12. Why does it seem that God is being unmerciful when we are experiencing hard times?

6. What do you think he means in Zechariah 1:14 that “I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem?

7. What goal do you think God had in mind for the captivity? Does knowing that there is a purpose for it, help us persevere through it? (Romans 8:28)
