Let the Redeemed Say So | Psalm 107:1-9

1. What does verse 2 mean when it simply says, ‘say so?’ What does God expect the redeemed to say?

2. This morning we said, ‘The faithfulness of God in the past gives us hope to cling to for our future.’ What are your favorite stories of God’s faithfulness in Scripture? How do these stories help strengthen your faith?

3. Recognition leads to gratitude. Gratitude leads to worship. Do you find it difficult to stop and acknowledge all the things in life God has done? How does failing to acknowledge God’s faithful provision impact our worship?

4. What does verse 9 mean when it says, ‘He satisfies the longing soul?’ How have you personally experienced God satisfying your soul?

5. Read Luke 8: 38-39. What response did Jesus expect from the man He had just healed from demon possession? Do you think God’s expectation is any different for us today?

6. What do we do when God does not deliver us in the time of our distress like Psalm 107: 6 says He does? What are some examples of faithfulness in the storm, in Scripture, that you cling to during difficult times?

7. This morning we said Psalm 107 calls us to make two decisions. We must recognize the goodness of God in our lives, and that must lead us to faithfully respond to Him in worship. How can you be more consistent in recognizing God’s goodness? What do you think faithfulness to God looks like in 2024?
